A message from SPRU – Street People Reintegration Unit.

Urging all residents of the Western Cape

Peter Cookson from SPRU cannot stress enough the most important role that the community has to play in keeping people out of the parks and off the streets. It is the handouts in all forms that encourage the people to return to the streets. Residents continue to feed them and they therefore have no need to seek the help of SPRU or other NGO’s that are there to uplift them and assist them to start living an independent life.

Please think again when you hand out money or food next time

Please support the shelters and NGO’s that are there to really make a difference in their lives.

*The MSR ADMINS is in full support of the SPRU. They work closely with GBNW to get the situation under control. They need your cooperation and support.

PLEASE INFORM US OF PEOPLE HANDING OUT FOOD ETC TO THE HOMELESS
YOU MAY STAY ANON. PRIVATE A ADMIN

Should you spot any dwellings tents or structures please report it here with a possible pic and location

Many thanks

Have a fantastic day.
